Jennylyn Mercado returns to primetime TV with GMA's 'La Vendetta'

La Vendetta (lit. Blood Feud) is an upcoming Philippine drama that will soon air on GMA Network. It will be directed by director Gil Tejada, Jr., after the top-rating Mga Mata ni Anghelita and Lore Reyes.

The series is from the creation of RJ Nuevas who wrote the top-rating Philippine dramas Impostora and Bakekang. It begins airing on October 29.

The production started late September, while filming started on October 12 for a October 29 airing - incredibly short for a primetime series. But, in fact, the production was concieved long before 2005, and had to be postponed because of the "boom" of telefantasyas.

This series is the much-awaited come-back series for Jennylyn Mercado after the feud between her manager and GMA Network. This is also Sunshine Dizon's new series after the recently concluded Impostora.

In addition, this is also the come-back Philippine drama for veteran actors Rustom Padilla and Snooky Serna after their recent showbiz revelations.

Nais ng GMA-7 na bigyang importansiya ang pagbabalik-trabaho ng kauna-unahang StarStruck Ultimate Female Survivor na si Jennylyn, kung kaya't primetime soap ang hinanda sa kanya sa isang original story soap na La Vendetta. Mula ito sa panulat ni RJ Nuevas na siyang head writer ng dalawa sa past two hits ng GMA-7 na Bakekang at Impostora. Si Gil Tejada naman ang nakatakdang magdirek nito.

Ang La Vendetta ay kuwento ng magkakapatid na babae. Final cast na ang dalawa sa kanila, sina Jennylyn at Sunshine Dizon. And the third cast will be Jean Garcia.
