Alessandra de Rossi

Alessandra Schiavone, better known by her stage name Alessandra de Rossi (born on July 19, 1984 in England, United Kingdom), is an Italian-Filipino actress. She is the younger sister of actress Assunta de Rossi which is also one of our Most Beautiful Filipina.

She was once overshadowed by the showbiz success of her older sister Assunta. However, her genuine ability to act allowed her to eventually outshine the former. Toni Gonzaga was born in January 21, 1984. She got her first big break as a fan of Piolo Pascual in a softdrink commercial, at the age of 17 years old. She recalls that at that time, “Masaya ako at excited kasi ito yung first lead commercial ko tapos Piolo was there di ko nga ineexpect na nandun sya.” (I am happy and excited because this is my first lead commercial after Piolo was there and I did not expect that he was there.)

Toni later became one of the co-hosts of hit noontime variety show Eat Bulaga! (GMA-7) where she started her showbiz career. At about the same time, she joined Studio 23’s Wazzup Wazzup as one of the anchors and was tagged as the “News Diva” because she always seemed to deliver the news with such a powerful voice.

Maria Isadora Ussher Calzado, popularly known as Iza Calzado gained big attention in show business in May 2002. Her biggest breaks in Philippine showbiz include teaming-up with Argentine actor Segundo Cernadas in GMA Network’s Te Amo, Maging Sino Ka Man and taking the role as Amihan in Encantadia. Arguably one of the most popular young stars in the Philippines, Heart Evangelista (born February 14, 1985) was first discovered by a commercial agent while shopping at the mall with sister Camille. She signed with Star Magic (formerly known as Talent Center) and was paired with John Prats in the show G-Mik. Her relationship with John Prats gained tremendous popularity, and they starred in several movies together—Trip, Ang Tanging Ina and My First Romance. Camille Prats (born June 20, 1985) is the second child of Daniel Rafael Prats and the former Alma Quiambao and is also the niece of former actress Mia Prats. She has a sister and three brothers, one of whom is actor John Prats.

Camille Prats’ first foray into show business came in 1990 when she was a contestant in “Little Miss Philippines”, a popular segment of the variety show Eat Bulaga. This led to her regular appearances in ABS-CBN’s children’s program Ang TV.

In 1995, Camille Prats catapulted into fame when she starred in the movie Sarah, Ang Munting Prinsesa, a Philippine adaptation of the Frances Hodgson Burnett children’s novel A Little Princess and the anime Princess Sarah.

She is best known for being a commercial model and an FHM model in the Philippines and also for playing the role of Cassiopea in the hit series Encantadia and its prequel/sequel Etheria.

Cindy is the daughter of divorced couple Faustina Verdillo and Friedrich Kurleto. She stands 5′7″. She was taken care of by her mother in Austria where she grew up. Cindy finished her education from elementary to college and took a Hotel and Restaurant Management course there. She later became a waitress. In 2001, she eventually got bored with her job. At that point she decided to take a vacation in her other home country, the Philippines. Jennylyn Mercado (born May 15, 1987) is a Filipina actress and singer. She became famous after winning in the first season of StarStruck, a reality-based talent search show of GMA Network in the Philippines.

In the October 14, 2004 episode of TV drama series Magpakailanman of GMA Network, which featured her life story, viewers learned more about Jennylyn's childhood.
In May 4, 1991, when she was nearly four years old, Jennylyn made headlines as a battered child.

Her assailant was her stepfather. He burned Jennylyn's young's skin with cigarette butts and whacked her back with a flat iron. Her mother, who was then in Dubai working as a domestic helper, immediately came home. Sadly, though, she came not to take care of her daughter but to bail out her cruel partner, who was in detention.

Her mother migrated to London and had her own family. Because of this, Jennylyn's aunt, Lydia Mercado, legally adopted her.

In June 2004, Jennylyn's biological father, Noli Pineda, now 50 came home for a holiday. His arrival did not go unnoticed by the press. Reports came out saying that he was asking for money from his now self-sufficient daughter. This, Jennylyn strongly denied. What her father wanted, she said, was for Jennylyn to use his surname.

Still, according to Jen, she and her biological father keep in touch, even if they don't get to see each other often, since he's based in Korea.

Because of her experience as an abused child, she is now the Official Spokesperson of the Bata Foundation (Christian Mission Services), a non-government organization that operates with basic funding support from its partner organization Christlicher Missiondienst (CMD) headquartered in Germany, supplementary assistance from two Japanese organizations and a few local groups, with the help of Feed Hungry Inc. and the GMA Artist Center.
